Our Story
A God-Ordained Transition
In 2023, Pastors Chuck and Jennifer retired and asked Matt and Misti to step in as the new Senior Pastors of HGWC. With hearts surrendered to God’s will, they accepted the call.
Their vision as pastors is simple yet powerful:
To see awakening spark in Nampa
To see the glory of Jesus fall
To see the fire of the Holy Spirit ignite hearts
To see rivers of living water flow—bringing transformation and advancing God’s Kingdom
A New Beginning
After a season of prayer, the Lord placed a new vision on their hearts: a new name for a new chapter.
On July 3, 2024, Higher Ground Worship Center officially became Arise Christian Church.
The name “Arise” reflects the call of God found in Isaiah 60:1: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”
At Arise Christian Church, we believe this is more than a name—it’s a declaration for this generation.
