Why we give.
We give back to God what already belongs to Him. Giving cheerfully and sacrificially is an act of worship as His disciples. A part of discipleship is the discipline of giving. It includes giving of our time, giving of our hearts, and giving of our finances. What we are saying is, "God, we trust you with all of the areas of our lives, and giving of our finances is just another part of surrendering and honoring you" We want to glorify God in every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.
