My Title: Jesus: The Living Oracle of God
Communion - Meditation of Our Heart

In 1 Kings 6:19, Solomon prepares the "oracle"—the Most Holy Place—to house the Ark of the Covenant. The Hebrew word for "oracle" is dabar, meaning the spoken word or divine utterance of God. It was not merely a room but a sacred space where God’s presence and Word met His people.

This "word" finds its ultimate expression in Jesus Christ. John 1:1 declares, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Jesus is the Word made flesh—the divine Oracle Himself. He is not just the bearer of God's message; He is the message. He is the fulfillment of all prophecy and the living revelation of the Father.

The Most Holy Place was once hidden behind a veil. But at the moment of Jesus' death, "the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom" (Matthew 27:51). Through His sacrifice, the barrier was removed. As Hebrews 10:20 says, "a new and living way was opened for us through the veil—that is, His body." His flesh, torn for us, grants direct access to God.

Jesus told His disciples in John 14 that He was going to prepare a place for them. Just as Solomon prepared the holy oracle for the Ark, Jesus prepares a place for us—His people—so we may dwell with Him forever.

Now, we are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). We are not approaching a temple made by human hands, but a living Christ whose blood speaks better things than any earthly sacrifice. He is the Oracle, the Veil, the Place, and the Presence.

As we take the bread and the cup, let us remember:

His body, the veil, torn for us.
His blood, the covenant, poured for us.
His Word, the Oracle, still speaking life.
Let us eat and drink in reverence, joy, and remembrance of the Word made flesh—Jesus Christ.
